ADOPT A FAMILY 12-2014

We had the privilege of assisting two families in need for the third straight year! Our first family had three children ages 9, 11 and 15. Their mother said that we truly did make a difference in their lives this year and that she also appreciated us taking the time and effort into making their Christmas a joyful one! Prior to leaving Maria's three children sat on the couch with a smile on their face and yelled "Merry Christmas! Thank you!!". Our visit to the second family also had three children ages 6, 8 and 9. We were welcomed by Diana, the grandmother who thanked us multiple times, gave us a hug and said they were so very grateful for our help this Christmas. Both families welcomed us with open arms and we were more than overjoyed to have been able to hand deliver their presents again this year.

The added support helps instill confidence in youth returning to school and restores a sense of pride and confidence. Volunteers of America has been engaged in distributing supplies for this worthwhile operation every year since 2001. Our Reno Nevada store was designated as a coordinating hub for receiving new backpacks from the public for this cause.
